This page tells you the small bits of data we store in your browser when you use our tools, and why. Honestly, it's a short list.
This notice covers the signed-in tools — the Hub at robinsfirehub.co.uk, the Customer Portal, and the Inspection Tool PWA. Our public marketing website at robinsfiresolutions.com uses Google Tag Manager for campaign measurement — see the "Marketing site" section further down for what that means.
Inside the tools you sign in to use, we only set storage that's strictly necessary for them to work — primarily, the thing that keeps you signed in. We don't use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking inside the tools. We don't share cookie data from the tools with any third party for marketing purposes.
Because none of the in-tool storage is for marketing or non-essential tracking, we don't show you an "Accept all / Reject" banner inside the tools. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the ICO's guidance, strictly-necessary storage can be set without prior consent — but we still want you to know what's there.
| Cookie / Item | Set by | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token |
Supabase (our auth provider) — stored in browser localStorage, not as a traditional cookie | Keeps you signed in. Without it you'd have to log in on every page. | Until you sign out or 1 week, whichever is sooner |
rf_device_user |
RobinsFire Hub | Remembers which assessor (Marco / Neil / Lisa) is using a shared device, so the Inspection Tool can stamp captures correctly. | Until you sign out from that device |
rfh_inspection_session |
Inspection Tool PWA | Saves your in-progress walkthrough on the device so a phone reboot or accidental refresh doesn't lose your work. | 24 hours after last activity, or until you Submit the inspection |
fra_preinspection_* |
Pre-Inspection Tool | Saves your prep draft locally so you don't lose work if you close the tab mid-stage. | Until prep is saved server-side |
inspection_tool > pending (IndexedDB) |
Inspection Tool PWA | Queues photo / video / voice uploads when you're offline on site, retries when you're back on signal. | Until the upload succeeds (or after 10 failed attempts) |
robinsfiresolutions.com)Our public marketing website is separate from the signed-in tools. It exists so people can read about what we do, take the free Cinder gap-check, and book a fire risk assessment. On that site we use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, so we can see which marketing pages bring in real enquiries and which don't. That's a common, legitimate purpose under PECR with appropriate notice — but it's third-party analytics, so we list it openly here rather than hide it under "strictly necessary".
If you completed the Cinder gap-check on the marketing site and gave us your email, the report itself is delivered via our normal email subprocessor (Resend) — Google Analytics does not see the report content; only that the form was submitted.
Because what we set is strictly necessary, blocking or deleting it will break things:
That said, you're in control. Most browsers let you clear site data or block all storage for a specific origin:
If you do clear our site data, simply sign in again and the necessary items will be re-set.
If you follow a link from our tools out to a third-party page (for example, a SmartHub-hosted booking calendar, or the SmartHub dashboard linked from your workspace), that page's own cookie policy applies. We don't control what third-party sites set on their own domains.
If anything on this page doesn't match your experience, or you have questions about how we use storage on your device, email marco.fiore@cambsfiresafe.com.
